Instructions:

  1. Plug in a slow cooker or crock pot and place your flank steak at the bottom.

  2. In a medium bowl, add the soy sauce and sesame oil, and stir to combine. Then, add the corn starch and whisk together.

  3. Add the rest of the ingredients into the bowl: diced white onion, brown sugar, garlic powder, and red pepper flakes. Mix everything together.

  4. Pour overtop the flank steak in the slow cooker or crock pot.

  5. Depending on how much time until dinner, set your heat. I prefer to set on low for 8 hours, and it will shred easily. As it gets closer to the end of the cooking time, it will become easier to shred. I always check on it’s “shredability” every few hours by just tugging on it with two forks.

  6. Once it is done cooking, shred the meat thoroughly with two forks.

  7. Serve over rice and enjoy!

Sweet Korean BBQ

Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs flank steak

  • 1 tbsp sesame oil

  • 1/4 c corn strarch

  • 1 medium diced white onion

  • 3/8 c soy sauce, low sodium

  • 3/4 c brown sugar

  • 1 tbsp garlic powder

  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
